The study aimed to use semiotics in teaching the holy Qur\u27an chapters and investigate the effectiveness of this teaching strategy on the development of the creative and critical thinking skills of Al-Aqsa University students in Gaza Governorate. Therefore, the researchers used Joseph’s Chapter (Yusuf’s Chapter) as the sample of the study. To achieve these two purposes, the researchers used both the descriptive and semi- experimental approaches and made two tests: one was for the creative thinking and the other was for the critical thinking. The reliability and validity of the two were verified beforehand.
