To date, there is no alternative to the introduction of the principles of integrated water resources management (IWRM), this is proved by the research of SIC ICWC on the territory of the South Fergana main canal, where the specific water supply per hectare of irrigated area has been reduced by 32% on an area of 120 thousand hectares, that is up to 7 thousand m³/ha, instead of the limited ones 10 thousand m³/ha. Researches recommend cutting off all types of collector-drainage waters (CDW) from the river trunks of the Aral Sea basin, including the Syr-Darya and Amu-Darya, since CDW are the main sources of water pollution.
