Crisis política y oportunidad en la conservación del patrimonio en la II República: El papel del arquitecto Emilio Moya Lledós

Emilio Moya Lledós (1894-1943) had the opportunity to belong to the group of Spanish architects, led by Leopoldo Torres Balbás, who during the Second Republic proposed a new treatment and use of the built heritage. His untimely death interrupted a process only recovered many years later. The article aims to show the coherence of his professional work with the method used in the training at the School of Architecture and also at the Spanish Academy in Rome, where he was a pensioner. Coherence is also sought between the exercise of the profession and the biography of the protagonist, whose childhood and youth spent in the Chamberí neighborhood, in Madrid, and his maturity in Italy, Spain, and in a continuous journey through Europe. As a heritage researcher, Moya Lledós transmitted his knowledge at the Madrid School of Architecture. The teaching about the heritage that our ancestors have bequeathed to us can be applied to the current city since it has reached a critical point.Emilio Moya Lledós (1894-1943) tuvo la oportunidad de pertenecer al grupo de arquitectos españoles, encabezados por Leopoldo Torres Balbás, que durante la II República plantearon un nuevo tratamiento y uso del patrimonio edificado. Su prematura muerte interrumpió un proceso solo recuperado muchos años después. El artículo pretende mostrar la coherencia de su trabajo profesional con el método empleado en la etapa de formación, tanto en la Escuela de Arquitectura como en la Academia de España en Roma, donde estuvo pensionado. También se busca la coherencia entre el ejercicio de la profesión y la biografía del protagonista, cuya infancia y juventud transcurrió en el  barrio de Chamberí, en Madrid, y su madurez en Italia, España, y en continuo recorrido por Europa. Como investigador del patrimonio, Moya Lledós transmitió sus conocimientos en la misma Escuela de Arquitectura de Madrid. La enseñanza sobre el patrimonio que nos han legado nuestros antepasados puede ser aplicada a la ciudad actual puesto que esta ha llegado a un punto crítico
