Would you make the same decision in your native language as you would in a foreign language? According to research, foreign language affects the decision-making process. This phenomenon is known as the foreign language effect (FLE). This thesis offers a theoretical background on foreign language processing, including psychological processes that trigger moral judgement and decision-making. The main goal of this thesis is to explore whether sequential bilingual speakers of Croatian and English tend to judge moral actions differently when reading moral scenarios in a foreign language.
