Bu çalışma kapsamında, Aksaray ilinde satışa sunulan 22 adet tulum peyniri örneklerinde Enterococcus cinsi bakterilerin izolasyonu ve identifikasyonu gerçekleştirilmiş ve antibiyotik duyarlılıkları belirlenmiştir. Gram-pozitif ve katalaz-negatif reaksiyonlar veren morfolojik testler neticesinde ön identifikasyonu yapılan suşlar Enterococcus spp. olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Saflık kontrolü sonrası 62 izolat -24 ˚C'de muhafaza edilmiştir. DNA izolasyonu neticesinde izolatların 16S rRNA gen bölgesi çoğaltılarak sekanslatılmıştır. Sekanslama sonucunda tür düzeyinde E. faecium (n = 30), E. faecalis (n = 25) ve E. durans (n = 7) olarak tanımlanmıştır.
