The problem of radiative transfer describes the interaction between light and matte, therefore it appears in many astrophysical systems. This work aims at developing numerical methods for radiation hydrodynamics, when the radiation interacts with a fluid. We use the M1 model that is able to accurately capture the two main regimes arising in problems involving radiative transfer: the optically thin medium in which photons are freestreaming and the optically thick medium in which photons are constantly interacting and obey a diffusion equation in the asymptotic limit.
