Not AvailableA tractor operated rotary assisted broad bed former-cum-seeder was designed and developed at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal, India. The basic aim of this development was to perform rotary tillage followed by broad bed formation, sowing and reshaping of bed by using dumbbell shape re-shaper. Performance of developed machine was evaluated and compared with flatbed sowing for soybean and wheat crops at ten randomly selected farmer’s field in vertisol. The field capacity and fuel consumption of developed machine were found as 0.32 ha/h and 15 l/ha respectively.
