In this study, in order to contribute to the solution of the color problem the removal of Maxillon Golden Yellow GL EC 400% (MGY 400), a dyestuff used in the textile industry, from aqueous solution was studied. For this purpose, one of the physical removal methods, the adsorption method was used. As an adsorptive substance, natural clay was obtained from Avanos District of Nevsehir Province and then it was used as a raw clay (K0) and modified clay (K1) which was exposed to ultrasonic sound waves. According to the results, the highest color removal for both clays was obtained at 300 minutes and 25 oC when pH was 8 (98.44%) for K0 clay and pH 4 (99.01%) for K1 clay. Adsorption efficiency with both clays increased with contact time increased. ...
