Susac syndrome (SS) is a rare disease affecting the microvasculature of the inner ear, brain, and retina, which usually presents with the triad of hearing loss, encephalopathy, and branch retinal artery occlusions. This condition usually affects young women and treatment consists, in most cases, of immunosuppression.
