Electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a measurement technique that provides information on the electrical characteristics of a material, that helping these to know the composition of any material in a non-destructive way. Regarding structured biological tissues (cellular tissues), EIS opens the possibility of studying the extracellular and intracellular mediums as well as the cell membrane, making it possible to characterize different tissues, which opens the possibility of differentiating pathological tissues if their electrical characteristics are affected.
