Business plan to implement a Formula Student Academy

The presence of new technologies in our day to day entails a need in the increase of engineers to be able to face the new challenges that arise. Therefore, it can be interesting to develop ideas of different kind of activities which could encourage the youngest to contribute to the engineering of present and future. On the other hand, there is a progressive increase of the popularity of motorsport in the last years. Many activities related to it are usually a big success. An example of this is the international Formula Student competition, in which the team from ETSEIB, BCN eMotorsport, participates. In the present project, a business plan of a Formula Student academy will be developed. This academy will mix both STEM education and motorsport. For this business plan, a market analysis of motorsport, educational activities and similar business has been carried out. Subsequently, an external analysis of the market and the sector was carried out, as well as an internal analysis of the resources and capacities. This study has made it possible to define the strategic objectives and prioritize the lines of action of the created entity. By drawing up strategic plans in the areas of marketing, human resources, operations, finances and environmental impact, the actions required to achieve the objectives have been defined. Finally, the conclusions of the project have been established in order to evaluate the viability of this business mode
