The prices of information and communication technologies (ICT) have strongly decreased during the 90s. As a result, firms have adopted ICT and changed their use of other inputs. The spread of ICT raises (at least) two economic issues. Has it induced productivity gains? And have all workers benefited from these productivity gains or only some of them because of higher complementarities with ICT? The four essays of this dissertation bring empirical evidence on these issues.The first article uses traditional growth accounting methods and shows that the use and production of ICT have significantly contributed to the growth of value added during the 90s in France.The second article proposes a novel method measuring the bias of ICT in favour of s...
