MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS BASED ON THE ISO STANDARDS IN THERESEARCH ANDDEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

ISO management systems have international recognition because of systemic approach concerning different fields of company’s activity, based on the good practices, accumulated during the human history. More and more organizations implement and certify ISO management systems, first of all, in order to establish internal control under the provided products and services, but also for increasing competitiveness on the basis of international recognized good managerial practices. In this paper the authors express some theses concerning international standards implementation benefits in the research and development field, based on the practices accumulated by the Information Society Development Institute, which has implemented and maintains the integrated quality management system ISO 9001, ISO 14001 environment protection, occupational health and safety OHSAS 18001 and information security ISO/IEC 27001 integrated management system
