Background: Helicobacter pylori infection represents a major gastrointestinal complaint associated with gastritis, gastric ulcer and stomach tumors. It is present in 90 % of developing countries population. H. pylori diagnosis in these countries, where resources are limited, is accomplished with simple non-invasive tests such as stool antigen and serum antibody tests.
