The focus of this thesis is the design of a peristaltic pump and its subsequent manufacturing using 3D printer. The design was based on a detailed study of constructions of peristaltic pumps focused mainly on applications in biomechanics, from which was proposed an experiment for better understanding the torque required for the pump to operate properly. From this design a prototype was made, the results of experiments brought a new perspective on other designs of peristaltic pumps made by a 3D printer
