Forms of Narrator in Novels of Jáchym Topol

This bachelor's thesis studies the characteristic of narrator in Jáchym Topol's novels. The thesis aims to describe Topol's specific narrative technique and the development and the transformation of his narrative subject based on the selected novels. The thesis focuses on the specifics of the narrator, the narrative technique, the choice of a narrative point of view, and the relation to other components of the narration and the story. We scrutinize and interpret the texts form the perspective of the narrative point of view. The emphasis is on reading and the interpretation of novels Sestra, Noční práce and Citlivý člověk, which might constitute the main points of Topol's prose fiction because of the form of the narrator. Nonetheless, we also look on other proses (Anděl, Kloktat dehet, Chladnou zemí)
