The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of social policies in relation to informal caregivers of seniors in two countries - the Czech and Slovak Republics. At the beginning, the author brings a current view of the aging population, with which the demand for long- term care is constantly increasing. The author further focuses mainly on the description and subsequent comparison of policy design in relation to family carers in both republics, while looking at the whole issue by applying the theoretical concept of social constructions of target populations.
