The topic of parental mediation, that is how parents mediate the media to their children, recedes into the background. At the same time, parents are the ones who are key figures in children's development and children's guides in the media world. The aim of this work is to focus on parents and how they use the media in education and what are the motives and strategies of their parental mediation. During the preparation of this study, the social situation changed significantly due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. With it came a number of changes in families, including in the area of media use.
