This article is focused on the influence of reactive power compensation on the secondary side of the distribution transformer on the Volt-Var regulation of distributed power sources in LV networks. The paper shows the mutual effects of compensation and Volt-Var control on a simple simulation in PSS® Sincal. The first part of the paper is dedicated to the description of the simulated scheme and parameterization of individual components. In the second part the results of the simulation are summarized, the contraindications identified, and recommendations are given
