Job Opportunities for Occupational Therapists in Social Services

Kateřina Svěcená, Ph.D. Title: Job Opportunities for Occupational Therapists in Social Services Abstract: Background: In addition to healthcare, occupational therapy is also widely used in social services. In the Czech Republic, this area has not yet been mapped in any detail. Within social services, there is a significant problem with the payment of health care workers, occupational therapists also face a non-uniform official position within social services. Goal formulation: The work aims to map and describe the current situation of employment of occupational therapists in social services in the Czech Republic. Four questions of the bachelor's thesis are chosen to fulfill the goal. Methodology: A structured survey is compiled for all occupational therapists working in the field of occupational therapy in the Czech Republic, which is sent online. The survey is divided into two main parts. It is designed so that the questions of the bachelor's thesis could be answered with the help of it. Results: 265 responses are received from respondents.
