The following manuscript is a scoping literature review which provides a comparative narrative analysis of the impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) applications on medical device (MD) technology and its subsequent legislation and regulations, in the United States of America and the European Union (EU) member countries. The objective of this research study is to compare and outline the current regulatory policies in the US and EU concerning the implementation of artificial intelligence in medical technology and health technology.
