The purpose of this thesis was to demonstrate motion control system both generally and in detail with a model as an illustration. The thesis was commissioned by Autotech Machinery JSC. The main goal of the thesis was to gain a deep understanding about motion control theoretically and to apply that knowledge into electrical designing and programming for an actual machine as a practical project. Motion control is used with motors which include a servo motor, a stepper motor and a linear motor, to provide mechanism movements in a controlled manner.
