After historically contextualizing the development of the Judeo-Spanish language, this article deals with processes in Abbau and Ausbau throughout its history, drawing on Heinz Kloss's model. The last section presents an analysis of contemporary Ausbau and standardization processes in Judeo-Spanish. These processes are quantitative analyzed in a set of orthographic and morpho-lexical data collected between 2015 and 2016 that includes two electronic publications (the journal Aki Yerushalayim and the newspaper Şalom) and a transnational electronic forum (Ladinokomunita).
