THE PARTICULARITIES OF THE DROUGHT YEAR 2015 AND SOME MEASURES TO DECREASE THE IMPACT IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

The Republic of Moldova is situated in an area with risky agriculture. In recent years, agriculture contributes on average about 12-14% from GDP, and more than 30 percent of active rural population is engaged in agriculture. Aridizarea global climate resulted in intensifying and enhancing regularity of drought phenomenon in Moldova. Drought in the year 2015 is characterized by the absence of heavy rainfall with a regional character, mostly local, as well as the lack of rainfall in some regions of the country between May and July. It has been estimated the impact of the drought on the harvest of cereal group he also achieved productivity impairment forecast of perennial crops.
