KONSEKUENSI PENGATURAN PASAL 20 UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 13 TAHUN 2016 TENTANG PATEN TERHADAP PEMEGANG PATEN YANG BERKEWARGANEGARAAN ASING DI INDONESIA

Article 20 of the Patent LAW lays the obligation to Patent holders to carry out Patents in Indonesia. A Patent holder with a foreign citizen is based on the arrangement. This thesis aims to know the background of the arrangement that is in article 20 of the Patent LAW and the jurisdiction of the Juridical section 20 of the Patent LAW against Patent holders who do not carry out Patents. The legal research methods used are nomatif legal research, with secondary data as the main data. The results of his research show that Indonesia's background is formulating the obligation of the Patent holder as stipulated in article 20 of the Patent LAW so that Indonesia can obtain a Patent that is listed on the general list of Patents in Indonesia. The consequences that arise if the Patent holder does not fulfill the obligation as referred to in article 20 of the Patent LAW is that the government of Indonesia may put the obligation in the form of mandatory license or may conduct Patent removal from the general list of Patents in Indonesian
