The objective of this review was to collect the current published research on obesity and gain insight into the association of treatment based on a global aspect. The first section of the review will cover the treatment of obesity based on a Western medicine lens. The second section of the review will cover the treatment through a traditional approach based from different regions of the world (not including China). The third section of the review will cover treatment through a traditional Chinese medicine approach. The most commonly used electronic databases were used to search for articles related to obesity.
