Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a highly infectious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome-CoV-2 virus that appeared in China and has spread globally. Accumulating evidence suggests that the development of specific prothrombotic changes in patients with COVID-19 reflected a high incidence of thrombotic complications. This paper is a narrative review of the diagnostic and management of COVID-19-associated coagulopathy and related venous thromboembolism (VTE). The consecutive search and review of relevant literature were carried out between March 23 and May 22, 2020.
