This statistical study explores if privatization is correlated with corruption. Previous research has shown different conclusions and results. Some research has concluded that high levels of privatization is correlated with high levels of corruption. At the same time, other research has shown the opposite, that high levels of privatization are correlated with low levels of corruption. This study aims to build onto the already existing literature, and narrows down the scope of analysis to 27 former communist countries.
