The question about value is an ever going subject. This paper aims to conduct a case study on selected environments that has to do with pollard trees and compare different approaces regarding these trees and their value. Previous research has shown that the value differs from biological and cultural. Whether it is a tree in a cultural reserve, or in a natural reserve different values are brought to light. The same goes for the pollarding made on private land. Three different areas have been selected for this research, all with different outlook on why the pollarding is conducted.
