Destination marketing and/or management organisations (DMOs) must manage crises that affect the image of the tourism destination. The use of communication in these scenarios is crucial. Recent studies suggest that, following the COVID-19 crisis, the demand for responsible tourism products should increase, leading to a more sustainable tourism.
