Contribution of lithic analyses for the understanding of neolithisation processes in the Upper Rhone Valley.

International audienceThe neolithisation is one of the major upheavals of the history of humanity. If in the nuclear zone near Eastern, the populations evolve locally of the Mesolithic era to the Neolithic era, the processes of transformation, in Western Europe, are more complex and mix colonization, diffusion and acculturation. One of the fundamental questions is then to determine the role which the last populations of Mesolithic hunter-collectors in this irreversible phenomenon of great width could hold. The study of lithic industries of the sixth and fifth millennia of the Rhone valley makes it possible to document an original case of interaction between hunters and peasants and then authorizes the construction of new cultural scenarios.La néolithisation constitue l'un des bouleversements majeurs de l'histoire de l'humanité. Si dans la zone nucléaire proche orientale, les populations évoluent sur place du Mésolithique au Néolithique, les processus de transformation, en Europe occidentale, sont plus complexes et mêlent colonisation, diffusion et acculturation. L'une des questions fondamentales est alors de cerner le rôle qu'ont pu tenir les dernières populations de chasseurs-collecteurs mésolithiques dans de ce phénomène irréversible de grande ampleur. L'étude des industries lithiques taillées des sixièmes et cinquièmes millénaires du Bassin rhodanien permet de documenter un cas d'interaction original entre chasseurs et paysans et autorise alors la construction de nouveaux scénarios culturels
