Abstract Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is one of the common psychiatric disorders. Despite being one of the basic aspects of biology, the sexual functioning in OCD patients has not received much attention, with there being very limited research on sexuality in these patients. In this review article, we try to take a look at the research on sexual functioning, sexual dysfunctions, and neurobiology of sexual dysfunctions in the anxiety disorders in general and in OCD specifically.
