ABSTRACT The fixation of carbon dioxide (CO2) by microalgae is seen as an economical and environmentally friendly way to reduce CO2 emissions. Variations in the CO2 mass flow rate were carried out to asses the effectiveness of CO2 biofixation on the production of microalgae through microalgae Scenedesmus obliquus activity in bubble column photobioreacters through the mass transfer process. The amount of microalgae production is one of the common parameters that are often used to assess the performance of photobioreactors in addition to CO2 removal efficiency. The microalgae growth rate was measured by measuring the concentration of biomass and cell density, concentration of CO2 input, CO2 output, dissolved CO2 with acidity alkalinity test. ...
