The study examines the use of insects as an alternative protein source in the diet for laying hens. The common source of protein today is soy, which although has a high nutritional value, is also characterized by a problematic farming procedurs in terms of its environmental impact - deforestation and extensive use of water. Insects, environmentalwize, present a promising alternative, can be grown in industrial conditions with low water and land consumption.
