PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM PADA KOMUNITAS PETANI (STUDI ETNOGRAFI DI WULUHAN)

Sociocultural religion and local wisdom are an inseparable part of the identity of a community, especially for farmers. The unique sociocultural nature of religion and local wisdom that exists in the farmers’ community can be used for the process of Islamic education. This research has two objectives, namely: (1). Understanding the forms and functions of religious socioculture in farmers’ community in Islamic education; (2). Understanding the local wisdom of the Wuluhan farmers’ community in Islamic education. Moreover, this research uses qualitative approach and ethnographic type. The data collection is based on interviews and field notes. The data analysis uses the Spreadly model with four stages of the analysis process. The results of the study describe that: (1). Socio-cultural forms of religion in farmers’ community that can be used in Islamic education include metik, bari'an, syuroan, rejeban, muludan, megengan or prepekan, and salvation ritual of the dead (tahlilan) which are packaged in the tradition of kenduren (salvation ritual) ; (2). The local wisdom related to the process of Islamic education in farmers’ comunity more refers to informal and non-formal education channels such as the integration of Islamic education processes in community religious activities, Islamic education in madrasah diniyah, pesantren (boarding school) and langgar (Islamic prayer room). The form of local wisdom in Islamic education that is most prominent in the Wuluhan farmers’ community is Islamic education in langgar (Islamic prayer room). The results of this study contribute to the process of Islamic education that can be culturally integrated in everyday life
