Advisor I: Dr. Nurul Zuriah, M.Si Advisor II Dr. Agus Tinus, M.Pd This study aims (1) To determine and describe the role of the family in instilling religious and moral values in children in Harjokuncaran Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan District, Malang Regency, (2) To identify and describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for the role of the family in instilling religious values. and morals in children in Harjokuncaran Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan Subdistrict, Malang Regency, (3) To know and describe how families overcome inhibiting factors in instilling religious and moral values in children in Harjokuncaran Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan District, Malang Regency. This data collection is carried out by researchers directly through interviews conducted by researchers to informants, observations made by researchers in order to obtain data by observing, and documenting matters related to research. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results of this study are (1) The role of families or parents in instilling religious and moral values in children, namely by means of habituation, advice, courtesy, discipline and invitation, for example, such as prayer, reciting and learning about behavior. (2) Families or parents in carrying out their roles have inhibiting factors, namely parents are busy with their work if the child's own obstacles are lazy to pray (3) Solutions or overcoming obstacles parents take time to provide learning, invite, remind and order and forcing children to obey children.
