Adolescents with chronic illness tend to develop low self-acceptance and dominated by negative emotions rather than positive emotions. This can cause adolescents to have difficulty interacting with others and unable to accept the condition of the illness suffered so that it is depressed and stressed. The purpose of this study was to 1) determine the effect of expressive writing on self-acceptance and positive emotion in adolescents with chronic illness, and 2) find out the comparison between selfacceptance and positive emotions in adolescents with chronic ill after being given expressive writing.
