Background: HIV/AIDS is a health problem that threatens many countries around the world. Knowledge is basically the result of the process of seeing, hearing, feeling. Knowledge of HIV / AIDS is knowledge of understanding, incubation period, transmission and prevention. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of health education using comic and audiovisual media on adolescents' knowledge of HIV. Method: The design of this research is pretest-posttest without control group design. The sample of this study was 48 students at SMP Islam Ma'arif 03 Malang which was divided into 2 groups, namely comic group N=23 students and audiovisual group N=25 students.
