EVALUASI TERHADAP KONDISI FISIK, PENGELOLAAN DAN PEMANFAATAN PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA MIKRO HIDRO DI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) took part in dealing with renewable energy by building a Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). PLTMH University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) utilizes energy from river water flow or irrigation canals originating from Sengkaling, which is then processed into electricity. PLTMH uses less water discharge (micro) than hydropower. This research was conducted to analyze the results of the electric power generated by the MHP. The research method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach at PLTMH UMM. This study provides an overview and description of the problems regarding the electric power of MHP. The results of this study are the mainstay discharge with a capacity of 1,000 m3/s produces a capacity of 150 kW in order to avoid overblasting the output is limited to 120 kW. The solution is, in the operation of the PLTMH, it is necessary to always pay attention to the parameter values so that they do not exceed the capabilities of the generator so that the electricity generated by the generator can occur and last a long time in operation
