KEANEKARAGAMAN FAMILI MESOFAUNA DAN MAKROFAUNA TANAH DI PERKEBUNAN TEH PTPN XII WONOSARI SINGOSARI SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

Tea production is one of the major contributions in the Indonesian economy. One of them is PTPN XII Wonosari Singosari Tea Plantation which in 2019 was able to produce 1,793 tons of tea. This result decreased by 2.98% compared to the previous year. The reason is due to the long dry season, pests and diseases, soil fertility, and tea picking techniques. Determination of soil fertility can be seen from the presence of soil mesofauna and macrofauna due to the sensitive response to changes in soil characteristics, nutrient cycles, decomposition processes, water storage, and changes in land and climate. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of soil mesofauna and macrofauna and the value of their diversity index. This quantitative descriptive study uses purposive sampling techniques. Determination of research stations based on tea trimming techniques (Trims Year 1, 2 and 3) and using 3 transect lines at each station. The collection of mesofauna and macrofauna using Hand Sorting method and Berlese Tullgreen funnel method will then be calculated using Shannon-Weinner diversity index formula. The results obtained as many as 871 individuals divided into 36 families. Whereas at stations 1 and 2 are dominated by predatory fauna, while at station 3 is dominated by decomposers. The diversity index calculation at station 1 is 2.49; station 2 with 2.58 and station 3 with 2.28. The cumulative diversity index of the three research stations showed 2.44 moderate. The results of this study can be used as enrichment materials of Senior High School class X in Indonesian Biodiversity in accordance with K.D 3.2
