Achievement motivation is very important for students because it is the driving force that enables them to achieve what they desire. Parental involvement becomes one factor that influences achievement motivation. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parental involvement and achievement motivation as mediated by self-efficacy. Among a sample of 200 junior high school students, using a quantitative approach, data in the current research showed that selfefficacy significantly mediated the relationship between parental participation and achievement motivation
