PENGETAHUAN PENGUSAHA INDUSTRI KAYU SKALA KECIL TERHADAP SVLK DI KOTA MALANG

The rate of deforestation continues and is increasing from year to year. In 2009, the area of ​​forest lost in Indonesia was estimated at 33.4 million hectares. The main source of the decrease in forest area in Indonesia is illegal logging and illegal trade that continues to occur, at the same time awareness of nature conservation from the international community is increasing. This raises questions about the origin and legal status of timber traded on the world market. The government's effort to suppress this is by establishing a system that regulates the wood cycle from upstream to downstream so that sustainable forests can be realized, this system is called the SVLK (Timber Legality Verification System), unfortunately the application of SVLK has not been comprehensive, especially at the IKM or wood industry level. small. The biggest obstacle to this policy is the lack of knowledge of wood entrepreneurs. This study aims to find out how small-scale wood industry entrepreneurs know about the implementation of SVLK in Malang City. The research method uses a descriptive with a quantitative approach. The results of this study are the percentage of understanding of small-scale timber entrepreneurs on SVLK. Of the 33 respondents, 17 respondents or 51.51% had good knowledge criteria, 13 respondents or 39.40% had sufficient criteria and 3 respondents or 9.09% had poor knowledge
