PERSEPSI DAN MINAT PEMUDA DESA MELANJUTKAN USAHATANI KELUARGA DI DESA KADUARA BARAT KECAMATAN LARANGAN KABUPATEN PAMEKASAN

The regeneration of young farmers, especially those in east Java province, is still relatively low. Therefore, this study discusses the perception and interest of village youth to continue family farming formed by three variables, namely respondent characteristics, sustainability of farming and perception. The purpose of this study is 1. Analyzing the perception and interest of the youth of Kaduara Barat Village, Larangan District, Pamekasan Regency towards work as a farmer by continuing family farming 2. Analyzing the relationship between the perception and interest of the youth of Kaduara Barat Village, Larangan district, Pamekasan Regency towards work as a farmer by continuing family farming. This research was conducted in Kaduara Barat Village, Larangan District, Pamekasan Regency. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from interviews and questionnaires. Respondents were youths of Kaduara Barat village, aged 16-30 years and members of a farming family. This study uses a Partial Least Square (PLS) approach through the Inner model and outer model. In the analysis of perception and interest, indicators of the benefits of continuing farming (X2.1) and socialization of parents (X3.1) have the highest average score of 4.15 and 4.03. While on the coefficient path test, the sustainability of farming significantly affected the interest of village youth because it has a value of 0.258 and p-value of 0.012
