PENGARUH ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH BENZYL AMINO PURIN DAN KINETIN PADA PERTUMBUHAN PLANLET PISANG BARANGAN (Musa Paradisiaca L.)

Barangan banana are typical bananas that are widely available in Indonesia. These bananas have the potential to be developed into higher quality fruit-producing plants through breeding efforts. Propagation of banana plants in conventional ways is difficult to obtain quality seeds in large quantities and in a relatively short time for commercial purposes the planting material can be obtained through tissue culture techniques. This technique produces high multiplication, is genetically uniform, and the planting material is free of pests and diseases. Growth regulators are the main factors that must be used to control organogenesis and morphogenesis in the formation and development of shoots and roots, as well as callus formation in tissue culture plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the best combination of BAP and kinetin hormones for multiplication of Barangan banana plantlets. This study used MS media then added with ZPT BAP 2.5 ppm, 5 ppm, 7.5 ppm and added ZPT Kinetin 3.75 ppm, and 7.5 ppm. The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference in the time of shoot emergence from all treatments, the A0B1 treatment (BAP 0 + Kinetin concentration 3.75 ppm) showed the fastest leaf emergence time (14 HSI), the control treatment showed the fastest root emergence time (4, 27 HSI), then in the A3B2 treatment (BAP concentration 7.5 + Kinetin 7.5 ppm) produced the highest number of new shoots 1.20, A1B1 (BAP concentration 2.5 + Kinetin 3.75 ppm) had an average shoot height the best (4.97 cm), the highest number of root branches (16.03), and the highest root length (11.70 cm), and with the highest average number of roots 9.50 in the A0B2 treatment (BAP concentration 0.0 + Kinetin 7.5 ppm)
