LITERATURE REVIEW : PENGARUH BIRTH BALL EXERCISES TERHADAP NYERI PERSALINAN PADA KELAHIRAN SPONTAN

Background: Labor pain is one of the natural defense mechanisms of the human body, which is a warning of a danger that can increase sympathetic nerve activity, then cause changes in heart rate pressure, respiratory problems, muscle tension and stress. Efforts that can be made in overcoming labor pain by using pharmacology and non-pharmacology. one type of non-pharmacological exercise is birth ball exercises. Objectives: To analyze the effect of birth ball exercises on painful labor in spontaneous birth based on an empirical study of the last 5 years. Methods: This study is a literature review by searching for scientific journals/articles through the google scholar database, pubmed published between 2017 and 2021. inclusion and exclusion criteria used to search for scientific journals/articles are in the picos format. Results: Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, there were 8 scientific journals/articles that met the requirements. all studies stated that there was an effect of giving birth ball exercises on labor pain in spontaneous birth. Conclusion: The effect of birth ball exercises on labor pain in spontaneous birt
