MAKNA LABA BAGI PETANI GARAM DI MADURA (Studi kasus pada Desa Karang-Anyar Kecamatan Kalianget Kabupaten Sumenep)

This research is a case study research with a qualitative descriptive approach which aims to determine the meaning of profit for salt farmers in Madura. The object of the research is Karang Anyar Village, Kalianget District, Sumenep Regency and the subject of this research is salt farmer. Sources of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques using interviews, and data analysis techniques are collecting normative data, processing the results of interviews with informants and revealing the values contained in terms of the meaning of profit for salt farmers in Madura . The results showed that salt farmers understood the meaning of income as follows 1) the meaning of profit for informants to meet family needs and school fees, 2) the meaning of profit was not just material, 3) the meaning of income as gratitude
