STUDI LITERATUR HUBUNGAN KEBERSIHAN AIR, SANITASI, DAN PERSONAL HYGIENE DENGAN PREVALENSI DIARE

Background : Maintaining personal and environmental hygiene is a must to improve health and reduce the risk of being infected with viruses and bacteria that can cause disease. Unclean habits such as using dirty water, having poor environmental sanitation and personal hygiene are one of several factors that often cause diarrhea, especially in children. This study aims to determine the relationship between water hygiene, sanitation, and personal hygiene with the prevalence of diarrhea. Research Method : Literature study by looking for international journals related to the relationship of water hygiene, sanitation, and personal hygiene with the prevalence of diarrhea. Journal search is done by accessing the Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct databases, then screening is carried out based on the criteria for the year of publication of the journal, open access journals, topic suitability, abstracts, full text journals, eliminating duplication, and journals with RCT research methods, cross sectional , quasi experiment, and cohort study. Furthermore, the journal findings were analyzed using descriptive analysis and tested for quality using JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute). Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between water hygiene, sanitation, and personal hygiene with the incidence of diarrhea. From the 10 journal findings, it was found that respondents' poor habits in implementing proper hand washing, using unhealthy latrines, and using unsafe water sources were the causes of diarrhea in children.
