Pengoptimalan Economic Dispatch Pada PLTGU Tambak Lorok Menggunakan Metode Constriction Factor Particle Swarm Optimization

The process of generating electricity requires a very large cost and each generating unit has different characteristics in terms of cost, so an optimal operation is needed to meet the load requirements. Economic dispatch is the distribution of the load on each generating unit so that a combination of generating units is obtained that can meet the load requirements at an optimum cost or in other words to find the optimum value of the power output from the combination of generating units which aims to minimize the total cost of the generator. Constriction Factor Particle Swarm Optimization (CFPSO) was obtained from the modification of the standard PSO algorithm. The basic equation of the PSO algorithm is modified by adding the Constriction Factor parameter, which aims to speed up the search for the PSO algorithm towards convergence. The results of the generator output generated by CFPSO at peak loads of 532 at 22:00 and 23:00 are unit 1.1 of 76.08 MW, unit 1.2 of 69.56 MW, unit 1.3 of 109 MW, unit 2.1 of 69.85 MW, unit 2.2 of 98.49 MW, unit 2.3 is 108.9 MW, with the value of energy generated is 6432.560793 MMBTU/hour. And the output of the lowest load demand 360 at 01:00 is unit 1.1 of 50.59 MW, unit 1.2 of 50.83 MW, unit 1.3 of 109 MW, unit 2.1 of 30 MW, unit 2.2 of 66.52 MW, unit 2.3 of 53.06 MW, with the resulting energy value of 4795.7177 MMBTU/hour. 2. The CFPSO algorithm is more optimal than the ALO algorithm as evidenced by the MMBTU/Hour value at the peak load demand of 532 MW at 22:00 and 23:00 which is 6432.560793 MMBTU/Hour for CFPSO and 6432.560801 MMBTU/Hour for ALO which has a difference 0.008 MMBTU/Hour with CFPSO
