KEANEKARAGAMAN TANAMAN BERKHASIAT OBAT TINGKAT HERBA DI HUTAN EVERGREEN KAWASAN TAMAN NASIONAL BALURAN KABUPATEN SITUBONDO JAWA TIMUR SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

Indonesia is one of 17 biodiversity countries. The number of plant species in Indonesia is estimated at 25,000 species or more than 10% of the world's flora. One of them is medicinal plants that can grow in evergreen forests. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of medicinal plants at the herbal level, to determine the value of density, frequency, importance index and species diversity index, and to serve as a source for learning biology. The method used is the quadratic method and the data collection method used is direct observation. The method used is vegetation analysis using the quadratic method where the location of the observation is determined by using purposive sampling method. At each research location, 30 plots of 5x5 plots were made in 3 locations of three evergreen forests. The results of data collection on herbaceous plant species that have been found in evergreen forests are 29 species with a total of 854 individuals. The medicinal plants found have different contents and benefits with various pharmacological functions according to the effectiveness of plants in curing diseases or can be used as drugs. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively using vegetation analysis, namely: density (Kr), frequency (Fr), Diversity Index (H^). The Importance Value Index (INP) of evergreen forest vegetation in all plots resulted in an INP of 10.52%. This INP is included in the low category. The Diversity Index (H’) of plants in evergreen forests is H’= 2.898. Plant vegetation in evergreen forest areas is classified as moderate. It is hoped that the diversity of medicinal plants can be preserved by the Baluran National Park and can support conservation efforts while maintaining its sustainability
