PENGALAMAN KELUARGA DALAM MERAWAT PASIEN DENGAN KANKER PARU

Dibimbing oleh Faqih Ruhyanudin, M.Kep.,Sp.Kep.MB. Background: Lung cancer is a disease that occurs due to the growth of malignant neoplasms and can cause death. Statistical data about 15 million people worldwide will have cancer by 2020 and about 10 million people will die from this disease every year (a 60% increase in mortality). Lung cancer can have an impact in everyday life, such as feelings of hopelessness and depression for sufferers. Cancer patients need support from their families. Because family is the reason for them to heal. This study aims to determine how the family's experience in caring for patients with lung cancer. Methods: This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach, involving 3 participants selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection using in-depth interviews. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation, namely choosing the third child P1, P2 child, and P3 grandson. The data collected were analyzed using the domain method. Results: the themes obtained in this study: 1) Rejection of preventive and surgical measures, 2) Patient recovery and recovery efforts, 3) family efforts when an emergency occurs in the patient, 4) Psychological response during family members sick, 5) family spiritual support. Conclusion: There is no family for actions or actions taken by the family who really don't want to happen - what with the patient, the family's efforts in healing and recovery by maintaining food intake by providing nutritious food, without taboos to continue taking drugs, taboos to continue to do it stop smoking , family efforts when there is an emergency in the patient by directly taking him to the doctor or providing help when at home by giving oxygen, family support while the patient is sick, psychologically disturbed family starting from feeling anxious, afraid and sad, spiritual family support by always giving prayers every time. every day to patients, recite after sunset with all the family and patients
